The History Of The Margheritine
Margheritine di Stresa Originated in 1857 in Stresa, Italy, when Pastry Chef Pietro Antonio Bolongaro created the Cookies for the First Communion of Princess Margherita of Savoy.
The Princess was so fond of them that after she became Queen, the Biscuits were Named "Margheritine" in her honor and became a Staple in the Royal House for the Ferragosto Holiday.
